We stayed from 14th to 21st June. We were looked after in every respect for the whole week.Southbank was clean ,homely and efficiently run. Choice at breakfast was great. We could not fault anything. See you again soon hopefully.
We just returned from a fantastic weekend stay at South Bank Town House in Torquay and couldn't be happier. The hotel features wonderful, unique decor throughout that gives it a really special character. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the beds were so comfortable that we slept incredibly well. The owners truly made the experience—they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was a highlight with a huge variety of choices, including continental options, fresh fruit, and yoghurts. The freshly cooked full English was delicious and you can tell that they use high-quality, locally sourced produce. Since it was Valentine's weekend, they added a special touch of Prosecco with fresh strawberries, which was so thoughtful. This place is a real gem and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
We stayed at the Southbank for our wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed! The hotel is beautifully clean and modern with lovely touches that make it feel very homely. Dolores really looked after us and cooked an amazing breakfast. The price was very reasonable (book directly through their website!) and the room was spacious and comfortable. We can't speak highly enough for the Southbank.
Excellent venue, very clean, tidy and great choice of rooms including king size beds and added luxury king size bedrooms. Stunningly good breakfast with decent choices. Fantastic hosts. Limited parking at rear but generally not a big problem. Some on street parking available. Location is very handy for quick access to the town centre or seafront depending on which way you go after leaving the property. The one and only negative if you are in the front bedrooms is that Belgrave Road is very busy with lots of idiots racing up and down in cars and on very loud motorcycles. Up until around midnight. We were okay because we are very heavy sleepers, but the front bedrooms wouldn’t suit light sleepers.
Our third year staying at Southbank Townhouse, excellent as always. Danny and Dolores are so welcoming, the rooms (and shared areas) they provide are spotlessly clean and well presented. Freshly cooked breakfast each morning is a highlight. Great location, just a short walk to the beach/marina area. We hope to be back again next year!
Perfect location to Newquay town centre and beaches. Beautifully well equipped room with a stunning view. John was very helpful when we arrived and served us a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Next time we come to visit I will be booking again.
Had a lovely one night stay here, will definitely return here when next in Torquay. Welcoming, friendly and helpful host and staff. Really tastefully decorated room with everything you would need. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice. Short walk to the seafront and bars & restaurants.
Lovely place, friendly hosts. Everything was clean and in good condition, comfy bed and room was a lovely layout with ensuite and sitting room. Ideal location to walk into town. We got parking and good system with lock box. Would definitely stay again.
